News for October

News October 15, 2023

Congratulations to our members on their achievements

  • Sami Abrams signed a contract with Love Inspired Suspense for a K9 Search and Rescue book.
  • Linda Goodnight agreed to a new 6-book contract with Love Inspired. The first three books will feature adult foster-“brother” security specialists who return to a small Oklahoma town seeking answers to their pasts. The final three books are TBD.
  • Natalie Watkins is a finalist in the ACFW VA Crown Awards in the Contemporary Romance category.
  • Deborah Raney is thrilled that her novel Breath of Heaven is the winner of the 2023 Best Fiction for the Missouri Writers’ Guild. Since Missouri is her newly adopted state, she’s especially pleased to receive this honor, and she counts it as her husband’s award as well, since he pretty much IS Raney Day Press. He designed the cover, interior, and manages all Deb’s business stuff.
  • Susan Anne Mason’s historical romance A Feeling of Home won the Writer’s Guild Word Award for best Historical Fiction. This was the third book in the Redemption’s Light series.
  • Chris Schmidt’s clean and wholesome five-minute romance, A Surprise Invitation (working title), has been selected to appear in the Nov. 6 Woman’s World issue, on sale Oct. 26-Nov. 1.
  • Christina Rich’s Love Inspired Historical A Family for the Twins has been on Publishers Weekly Religion Fiction Bestseller List two weeks in a row.
  • Jayna Breigh received her first publishing contract, a two-book deal with Kregel.
