- Heidi Main signed a two-book contract with Harlequin Love Inspired. The first will be a K9 Companions book and will release in August 2024.
- Natalie Watkins is a semi-finalist in the ACFW Genesis Awards, in the Contemporary Romance category.
- Elaine Clampitt’s entry won first place in the Unpublished Romantic Suspense category in the 25th Anniversary of the Daphne du Maurier Award for Excellence in Mystery/Suspense, and was also the Overall Unpublished winner.
- Tina Wheeler’s new release, Ranch Under Fire, is a Publishers Weekly Bestseller, and she contracted with Love Inspired Suspense for the third book in her Red Rock Country series.
- Angela Breidenbach’s excited to announce the International Institute of Genealogical Studies’ new website is live at GenealogicalStudies.com. She edits all course material as they write or update, is the acquiring editor for courses, and coming in 2024 (nonfiction and historical), will teach. She’s also been asked to speak for the FHL-CW conference Sep 29-Oct 1, 2023, the Genealogy Network of Texas Oct 20th virtually, and a new writing conference called Montana Writers Rodeo the weekend of Oct 20-22, 2023 planned in Helena, MT in person.
- Heidi McCahan is thrilled to share that her Love Inspired novel Her Alaskan Companion made the Publishers Weekly Bestseller list (mass market paperback).
- Dana McNeely received a contract for a third Biblical Fiction from Mountain Brook Ink. The tentative release date is December 2024. Rain and Whirlwind were set in the time of the prophet Elijah. Book 3 will be set in the time of his successor, Elisha. (She’s open for title suggestions!)
- Darlene Corbett signed a contract with Wordcrafts Press for her Women’s Fiction, Visible Forever, which will be published in the spring of 2024.
- Susanne Dietze’s novel, The Secret Between Them, is a finalist in the OC Romance Writers Book Buyer’s Best, inspirational category.
- Belle Calhoune signed a four-book contract with Harlequin Love Inspired.
- Loretta Eidson learned that Pursued in the Wilderness, her Love Inspired novel won AWSA’s 2023 Romance Novel of the Year in the Golden Scrolls Award.
- Carol James received a contract for a Christmas novella with a working title of The Hope of Christmas. The tentative release date is December 1.
- Kendall Hoxsey had her second flash fiction piece accepted by Spark Flash Fiction for their Summer 2023 Edition Love At Any Level.
- Pearl Fredericksen signed a contract for a series this week and sent in the first manuscript. It’s her first.
- Kristi Woods has accepted three speaking opportunities for September and October, one for writers in Tulsa and two for readers in Oklahoma and Virginia.
- Michelle Medlock Adams and Eva Marie Everson won First Place Children’s Fiction at the AWSA Golden Scrolls Awards previous to CPE this past week.
- Eva Marie Everson won the 2023 AWSA Book of the Year with her work of nonfiction, The Third Path.
- Marilyn Turk’s book, The Escape Game, won third place for historical fiction in the Golden Scrolls awards.
- Betty Woods got a new three-book contract with Scrivenings Press for her second historical romance series, with the first book releasing May 2024.
