Rachel McRae – Revell
Rachel McRae is an executive editor at Revell Books, a division of Baker Publishing Group, where she acquires fiction and nonfiction. She enjoys being an author’s biggest cheerleader and partnering with them to successfully get their story and message out to readers. She lives in Nashville where she’s active with her church, nonprofit work, and watching football.
Acquiring: In fiction, Rachel enjoys working with historical romance, contemporary, and romantic suspense novels. Rachel’s nonfiction focus includes strong Bible teachers, personal and spiritual growth topics that have strong felt needs with unique hooks, and messages with practical applications for a variety of life concerns that we all face over the various stages of our lives.

Shana Asaro – Love Inspired
Shana Asaro is an Editor for Love Inspired, an imprint of Harlequin, where she acquires and edits books for Love Inspired, Love Inspired Suspense and Love Inspired Trade. She started out at a literary agency before shifting to editorial work and landing at Harlequin, where she’s been for almost 20 years. Shana works with a wide range of authors, from debut to seasoned writers, including Jessica R. Patch, Lee Tobin McClain, Ciara Knight, Jill Kemerer and Dana Mentink. When she’s not reading or editing, Shana spends her time with her husband and daughter. She also likes to travel, bake, watch movies, discuss the merits of Gilmore Girls and drink Starbucks lattes.
Acquiring: I acquire category-length (55,000 words) inspirational contemporary romance and romantic suspense for Love Inspired and Love Inspired Suspense as well as longer trade paperback fiction (85,000-100,000 words) in a variety of genres for Love Inspired Trade. In general, Love Inspired Trade publishes contemporary fiction, women’s fiction, suspense/thrillers/mystery, historical fiction and historical romance. We are not currently seeking Amish fiction or rom coms and would be highly selective when it comes to contemporary romance. For Love Inspired Trade, I would love to see something with a speculative element, a dual timeline story, cozy/feel-good fiction, high-concept fiction or a unique mashup (like speculative mystery or cozy historical). I’m also looking for a Christmas book that’s not contemporary women’s fiction/romance.

Melissa Endlich – Love Inspired
Melissa Endlich is the Senior Editor of Love Inspired Books. She has over 25 years of experience in the publishing industry, mainly in the romance genre. She started her career working on illustrated reference books for Reader’s Digest, then joined Harlequin in 1999. She has worked with several best selling inspirational authors such as Irene Hannon, Marta Perry, and Emma Miller, and has participated in workshops and publisher spotlights at many conferences including the Romance Writers of America and the American Christian Fiction Writers. While not working at her dream job, Melissa is a huge movie buff and enjoys cooking and baking.
Acquiring: Love Inspired is looking for sweet contemporary romances (55,000 words) that feature families/single parents, dogs (service or therapy dogs), Amish, ranchers/cowboys, and juicy stories (secret baby/secret identity), all set in small town North America. In addition, Love Inspired Suspense is looking for romantic suspense stories (55,000 words) that are equal parts romance and suspense, with tropes such as cold case, Amish, law enforcement heroes, protecting babies, and rugged settings such as the wilderness and the mountains. If you are interested in Love Inspired Trade, we are currently seeking longer trade paperback fiction (90,000-100,000 words). We would like to see suspense, mysteries, thrillers, historical fiction, historical mystery, historical thriller, action/suspense spy romance, or contemporary mystery with humor.
